I did a lot of image editing before I began photography which is against the norms. Therefore, you will not find a photo I captured, directly out of cam. This is only the rough diamond, it goes without saying that it needs polishing. Otherwise I have the feeling something is missing. Sometimes the process is so long that I have to put the photo editing on hold. Later I have a better view of the right colors, contrast and sharpness. All these corrections should transfer emotions and intensify the story unadulterated. Especially, at my beginning I experimented with different exposure techniques and different kinds of scenes. In the mean time I mainly shoot landscape pictures with available light.
I like to open up my horizon while viewing through the camera. By taking photos I discovered a lot of amazing places and experienced the beauty of nature. A lot of unforgettable moments in the woods and great cities would have been hidden otherwise.
Mit Umwegen kam ich über die reine Bildbearbeitung zur Fotografie. Aus diesem Grund wird man bei mir auch kein Bild finden, bei welchem nicht der Rohdiamant, welcher aus der Kamera kommt, am PC weiter geschliffen wird bis er mir wirklich gefällt. Oftmals ist es ein langer Weg, bei dem ich ein Bild auch mal ganz aus dem Auge verlieren muss, bis ich schlussendlich mit Farben, Kontrast und Schärfe zufrieden bin. All diese Korrekturen dienen dazu Emotionen zu transportieren und die natürliche Bildaussage zu intensivieren ohne sie jedoch zu verfälschen. Besonders in der Anfangszeit probierte ich viele Aufnahmetechniken und Motive aus, aus welchen sich vor allem die Landschaftsfotografie in verschiedenen Facetten heraus kristallisiert hat.
Beim Blick durch die Linse habe ich viele tolle Orte entdeckt, welche mir sonst verborgen geblieben wären. Diese liegen oftmals sogar ziemlich nah und man muss gar nicht weit reisen.
